Our final day...
Day 3

It makes me sad to see our time end with Carole Burrage as our guest designer of the month. Carole is a talented and creative rubber stamper and her final project is fabulous!

Isn't this adorable! Here is Carole's inspiration for this project. This is by far my favorite inspiration!

Cruise Cash
"I can’t wait to go on the stamp cruise with Gina K., PaperTrey Ink, and Stamping Bella! I got the idea to make this little bank from my good friend and future cabin-mate, Kristi. She’s so smart – she’s paying herself $5.00 for every load of laundry she washes, folds, and puts away between now and the cruise; isn’t that a great idea? And wouldn’t that $$$ go perfectly in this cute little bank? It’s just a little paper mache box that I decoupaged in a patchwork of patterned paper to make a seascape for the images from Just Keep Swimming."
Project details:
Cruise Cash Bank
Stamps: Just Keep Swimming by Gina K. Designs
Paper: Georgia Pacific White, patterned paper by Flair, adhesive sand
paper by Creative Memories
Ink: Brilliance Archival Graphite Black, Cool Carribean for sponging edges of patterned paper
Accessories:
round paper mache box from Hobby Lobby, Copic Sketch markers,
chipboard letters by Thickers, starfish and sand dollar from Hobby
Lobby, Mod Podge, black artist's pen (for drawing bills in gull's mouth).
Carole thinks of everything! I am going to start paying myself for laundry too! Then, when we hit the first port on our cruise, I can do a little shopping of my own! You can use this idea for stamp supplies too! Hey, 8 loads of laundry a month buys you $40.00 in stamping stuff according to this plan. AND, you'd pay a lot more than that to have your laundry done for you. Way to go Carole!!!
I have really enjoyed having Carole Burrage as our guest designer this month. We are always looking for new guest designers so don't forget to submit your projects for consideration.
Send 3 of your best projects to:
Gina K. Designs
P.O. Box 164
McFarland, WI 53558
(Send an SASE if you want your projects returned.)
We'll let you know if you've been accepted for our guest designer of the month spot!
I always like to finish up with a little biography written by the artist. Thanks Carole! It's been a blast, and thank you all for coming by and letting Carole share her Gina K. Designs projects with you.
Hugs,
Gina K.

Hi! My name is Carole Burrage, also known as TruCarMa on Splitcoast Stampers. I live in Claremore, Oklahoma, with my husband, Sean, sons (Truman, age 11, and Carter, age 3), and two big ol’ dogs. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for the past two years; before that I was an assistant professor at a local university.
I began stamping as an off-shoot of scrapbooking in September of 2006, and I was hooked immediately. Since then, my scrapping supplies have gotten a little dusty and my craft room has been commandeered by all things rubber and ink. Like many of you, stamping is my personal therapy, or as I like to call it, my “Mother’s Little Helper” (also the name of my blog, which you can find at http://motherslittlehelper.typepad.com).
I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with Gina K’s awesome stamps, and I’m a huge fan of hers, as I know all of you are. I can’t wait to meet her in person on the Stamping Cruise next fall! In the meantime, it’s been an honor and a privilege to be her Guest Designer.
Stamping hugs to all!
Carole
