October's Guest Designer

What a thrill it is to present to you the oh-so-talented Lindsey Botkin!
When I found out that Lindsey Botkin wanted to be a guest designer for Gina K. Designs I about flipped! Aside from the fact that she totally kicks it as a stamper, she is also a rockin' girl entrepreneur! She runs her own online store called Jacksonbelle Embellishments. Everything in her store is fabulous so you must stop in for a little shopping cart session! (I hope someday she carries Gina K. stamps! ummm-hint-hint...LOL!)

Lindsy waited to choose her stamps until our fall and holiday collection came out. She knew that we'd all be looking for ideas for the season. And what great projects they are!
The first card that really caught my eye was this harvest time pumpkin card.
The first card that really caught my eye was this harvest time pumpkin card.

Lindsey used a masking technique to lay in the sunflowers behind the pumpkins. I love her little touch of stitching and her awesome rounded opposite corners! Lindsey's attention detail is what makes her so great!
Card details:
Stamps: Sunflowers, Pumpkin's and Happy Harvest (Gina K
Ink: Yoyo Yellow, Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Black
Stazon (Stampin' Up!)
Card stock: Yoyo Yellow, Shimmery White, Basic Black (Stampin' Up!)
Designer Paper: Martha Stewart Halloween Pack
Accessories: White Organdy, Silver Eyelets, Paper Piercing Tool, Black
Journaler, Jewel Brad, Word Window Punch, Corner Rounder (Stampin' Up!)
Diamond Stickles (Ranger) .. in store...
The second card for today is just adorable! Lindsey chose to work with the new skinny snowman. Using a simple sketch with patterned paper, she created a card with well placed detail that can be recreated over and over again just in time for Christmas. Three spaced eyelets and some ribbon add just the right touch without making the card seem overdone! That's a true artist. Part of making a great card is knowing when to stop and Lindsey gave it just enough. I love her color choices for this card. That snowman looks warm and cozy, even in the snow.

Card details:
